And if you have never shopped with Scarf Room before, you will be blown by the choice of wedding pashminas and wraps we offer at Scarf Room in our premium number 37 range!
The Scarf Room Wedding Collection
First up is our gorgeous best-selling Made in Italy Wedding Pashmina collection. These pashminas come in a stunning palette of over 40 colours. You would struggle to find a comparable selection on the high street. Colours range from the more traditional white, ivory and cream through feminine petal pinks and baby blues to show-stopping cobalt blues and hot pinks. Being made in Italy, they are a high-quality but very affordable wedding pashmina and are finished with well-made, simple tassels. No wonder they are our bestselling pashminas and wraps.
If you are looking for a little more luxury but still at a very affordable price, then next up is our superlative Merino Wool Silk Mix Wedding Shawl collection. This is a 70% merino wool, 30% silk mix product from Nepal which looks and feels very special. Perfect for a wedding!
And, at the very top of the range, comes the Cashmere Wedding Scarf collection, offering a stunning range of Nepalese cashmere scarves that are 100 per cent pure cashmere. These wedding pashminas come with the Chyangra trademark which is awarded to those products authenticated by the Nepalese government as a genuine cashmere product.
For both the Cashmere Wedding Scarf collection and the Merino Wool Silk Mix Wedding Shawl collection, we have selected what we think is a beautiful palette – each colour sings and every scarf looks and feels special. Each of these shawls has also been spun to a beautifully dense knit so feels as light as a feather and is deliciously soft agains the skin. In addition, both scarves feature a simple but very elegant plain weave finished with a gentle eyelash fringing. Either one of these would make the perfect wedding shawl. They are are versatile, too looking striking as a beautiful accessory over simple tailored separates during the day or elegant evening wear at night.
So, if you are planning your wedding and would like to accessorise with the perfect bridal accessories, then look no further. We’ve got pashminas and shawls for everyone in your wedding party.
A Wedding Shawl for the Bride
For the bride, we offer a range of beautiful pashminas shawl wraps in the three ranges in our number 37 collection – the Made in Italy Wedding Pashmina range, the Wedding Cashmere Scarf collection and the Merino Wool Silk Mix collection. These are available in the more traditional colours of white, cream and ivory (see above). However, we offer lots of other beautiful colours too such as the feminine pink below.
Wraps and Pashminas for the Bridesmaids
The choice of colours for the wedding wraps for bridesmaids can be overwhelming. I think a good place to begin is to look at what is happening in nature and incorporate some of the seasonal colours of the flowers, foliage and berries available at this time of year. Our number 37 pashminas scarves in soft greens, blues, peaches and pinks would work beautifully for springtime wedding accessories.
I’d then suggest moving into a brighter palette of hot pinks, oranges, yellows and blues for the summertime wedding wraps.
As we move later on into the year, mulberry, plum purple, teal green and mandarin red, even coral, can work beautifully for the bridesmaid’s autumn wedding accessories.
Finally, moving into the winter wedding pashminas, you might want to dip into a slightly more dramatic palette – red, light grey, mid grey, dark grey, aubergine, parisienne blue, white or any one of our gorgeous greens.
A Scarf for the Mother of the Bride (or Bridegroom)
A beautiful number 37 pashmina or wrap chosen to complement the bridesmaids’ dresses can become a stylish and elegant wedding accessory for both the bride’s and groom’s mother. If not, a patterned pashmina, silk scarf or lace panel scarf such as the one below offers a beautiful alternative to the more traditional pashminas and wraps for weddings. Our collection of women’s patterned pashminas, silk scarves and lace panel scarves come in a beautiful palette of colours. They, like the wedding pashminas and wraps, would lend an elegant detail to any special occasion outfit.
A Beautiful Wedding Guest Accessory or Gift
Remember to say thank you. There are so many people who must be helping you to make your day special so show them your gratitude.
A beautiful scarf from one of the number 37 pashminas and wraps collections in the featured wedding colour (see as the green below) always make a well-received gift. These wedding guest favours can be placed in a decorative basket with a personal message inviting the female guests to help themselves.
Alternatively, you could get creative and drape over each guest’s chair to be taken away at the end of the wedding breakfast.
BUT IT DOESN’T STOP THERE!!!
Because we love weddings so much, we also offer help with choosing your wedding shawl. In particular, we provide a unique free colour-match service to help you select exactly the right colour for your bridal accessories. It’s extremely simple. The bride-to-be can send us a photograph of her wedding day colour palette. We use this to help her find the perfect bridal pashminas.

How to Plan a Wedding – Scarf Room’s Top Wedding Planning Tips
Getting married is said to be one of the most stressful life events, right up there with moving house and starting a new job. There’s so much to do and usually so little time. Finding a suitable venue, deciding who to invite, who not to invite, dealing with caterers, finding the perfect wedding accessories. The list goes on – choosing flowers, dress fittings, picking rings, planning the hen-night, the stag-do, table arrangements, booking a honeymoon. And all the while trying hard to keep an eye on the spend. I don’t need to tell anyone reading this that, with wedding costs, it’s – think of a number and then double it. Add into this heady mix a powerful social media pressure to create perfect images of the special day, and you’ve got a stressful cocktail served up right there.
But never fear. Help is at hand. Read our top wedding planning tips on how to stay sane and happy in the lead-up to your big day.
Change the narrative
What if you were to change the narrative? You’ve agreed to marry and spend the rest of your life with this one-in-a-million person! Probably the most important decision you’ll ever make. So the process of planning that day and all the preparations leading up to it should really be a time to enjoy. What about changing your mindset to one where you commit to enjoying the build-up, not leaving all the fun to the big day itself.
Another way to help reduce stress is to simply let go of the idea of perfection. In the months before my own wedding, I decided that there really is no such thing as the perfect wedding. Especially when you are trying to organise that many people coming together on one given day. It just doesn’t happen, people. In fact, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard of or been to a wedding where there was TOTAL perfection. It’s the embarrassing best man’s speech in which he airs his brother’s beauty routine. Or the father of the bride who has broken his nose and is wearing a rather large bandage in all the wedding photos. These are the kind of unforeseen events that make you remember that we can’t control EVERYTHING. So just let it go. Enjoy the perfectly imperfect.
Also, learn how to delegate. There are so many little tasks associated with wedding planning that really can be handed over to someone else you trust. Releasing a little control means that you can breathe easier and actually have more time to focus on controlling the more important big stuff. For example, once you have chosen a dress for yourself and for your bridesmaids (no easy task), having someone to help you sort out the finishing touches and wedding accessories for each outfit can be a huge relief.
You can delegate to us! Let us help you in your choice! Call our Customers Services Helpline on 01253 733870.
Don’t forget your partner to be
Involve your partner-to-be. It’s his (or her) wedding too. Get him involved in the planning stage. Ask for opinions and advice!
Planning a Wedding Abroad
If you are planning to get married abroad, don’t forget your pashmina! Although the weather may be beautiful during the day, temperatures can often drop in the evening so don’t forget to bring a pashmina to keep you and your bridesmaids warm. After the wedding, one of our wedding pashminas would make a useful gift on the way home and can be worn waiting at air-conditioned airports and on chilly flights.
Again, if you want us to help you make your choice, then give our friendly customer services team a call.
Finally, if it all gets too much, just stop and breathe. There are so many simple breathing exercises and specific breathing exercises for anxiety and for stress-relief. The following is just one simple practice that you can use in the days leading up to your big day but there are many, many more:
Relax your abdomen and feel it gently expand as you breathe in and gently deflate as you breathe out. Do this 8 times. Feel yourself relax.
If you have a little more time, lie down and practise a little Yoga. There are hundreds of practices that show you how to use Yoga for stress and Yoga for stress relief. The benefits of Yoga have been well-documented. In our our blog, Breathe into 2018, we gave some very simple advice on using Yoga techniques for stress. It’s extremely simple but very effective. And you only need 10 minutes!
“Find a comfortable and warm space where you will be undisturbed. Switch off your phone and lie down – on a Yoga mat if you have one or, if not, on a thick towel or blanket. Stretch out and adjust your legs so that they are comfortably wide apart. Allow your little toes to flop out to the sides. (If you have a back issue, you may be more comfortable with your knees bent and your feet on the floor. Feel the hips gently ease open. Now extend your arms out to the sides a little away from your body and turn over your palms so that they are facing the ceiling. Adjust your chin so that your neck feels very comfortable. Gently close the eyes. Relax the face, the chin and the jaw and soften that little space between your eyebrows. Feel the skin on your face beginning to melt.
Invite your body to be very still and peaceful.
Become Aware of Your Breath
Now (unusual as it sounds) find your breath. Start by becoming aware of the breath in the nostrils. The incoming breath and the outflowing breath. Notice that the air is cool as it comes into the body and a little warmer as it leaves the body. Become aware of the length of your breath. Then the texture of your breath. Even the soft sound of your breath. Stay with this for a few moments.
Next take your awareness to the breath in the abdomen. Observe how the abdomen gently rises and falls with the breath. Notice how your abdomen rises on your in-breath and falls on your out-breath. And when your mind begins to move away from your breath, gently guide it back.
Be aware that with this simple practice, you are allowing your mind and your emotions to rest. Research has shown that this mindful breathing helps to alleviate stress and anxiety. Think of it as giving your mind a little time out.
And finally. Enjoy!
Good luck. It really will be an amazing day. And you will look amazing. Especially if you chose one of our wedding pashminas.
