Guest Blog: Scarf Insider: Festival Looks: Accessorising Your Scarf

Festival season is now in full swing, with Glastonbury just finishing and many more just beginning.

Although Glastonbury has been and gone, there are still many great festival opportunities such as Reading, Leeds and Kendal Calling. There is just so much to love about them - live music, brilliant atmosphere and, most importantly, fashion! They are the perfect place to rock your unique style.

Aside from the music, festival fashion is often a main consideration to festival goers. They seem to be the only events where casual is highly encouraged and everybody can show off a unique style, however wacky or weird. Many people pair their shorts with wellies and complete their look by showing off some amazing patterned printed accessories.

Women’s Scarves

You may think ladies scarves are a simple neck accessory used in winter to fend off the cold but they have so much more potential. Using pashminas, light weight or printed scarves in multiple ways can help you create wonderful festival looks.

The benefit of using scarves to complete your look is that you can style each and every one in numerous ways, enabling various different looks from one garment. Perfect for when you want to pack light.

As you can see from the image below, styling a simple print scarf with your festival look adds that little extra something to complete your style.

Neckerchief Neck Scarves & Skinny Scarves

Wearing these at a festival is another way to push the boundaries. Again, there are so many ways you can style neckerchiefs to create unique looks.

You can tie neck scarves and skinny scarves in many ways around your neck to create excellent looks but I feel the best way to make the most of a scarf is by styling it differently, from wearing in your hair to around your wrist.

Below I have styled neckerchiefs and skinny scarves to give you a grasp of how to make your neck scarf look the best it possibly can and how they can be the ideal accessory for completing your festival attire.

The styles don’t stop there, as you can see below, a neckerchief neck scarf can be used creatively to change up any outfit. Tying around your bobble to complete your ponytail, around your hat or on your wellies can make a festival look completely yours.

The great thing about scarves is that they can create multiple looks from one item and can be worn by a person of any age. Why not try a scarf this festival season and have a go at creating something a little different? You have to admit, the possibilities scarves, pashminas and neckerchiefs offer are pretty great!

Your festival look can now be perfect with the little help of a scarf and I hope you enjoy wherever you may be going this summer.
